Colonial Winterhalder 5-Tube Clock, c1926. Colonial made cases and installed movements acquired from Germany. This one, by Winterhalder, is of the highest quality... kind of like finding a working Rolls Royce engine in a barn. It plays the Westminster chime on the quarter hours on 5 tubes. The Model #1351 was listed in the 1919/1920 catalog; the high quality #61 movement was made by Hans Winterhalder of Neustadt (HWN). Winterhalders was tarted in 1919 and liquidated in in 1929 when it was taken over by Junghans. The three weights measure 14 lbs 4.7 oz, 14 lbs 1.5 ox, and a whopping 26 lbs. 8.6 oz.
