Claude Reeve was an amateur horologist who made 40-some clocks and published several books on clock construction. After seeing Thomas Tompion's one-year clock in the British Museum he designed a smaller version and published construction notes and plans in Model Engineer magazine, in 1951. The movement is double-wind time-only and offers a perpetual calendar; the clock is 74" tall.
