John J. Stowell Banjo Clock, c1820. John was the brother of Abel, the most prolific of the Charlestown, Mass. timepiece makers. J.J. did favor the 'Aurora' theme for the lower tablets on his clock, along with triangular glue blocks. This clock shares those attributes but is not signed.
